The Pastry Cook will prepare pastry items according to guest orders, ensuring consistent quality, and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient station, managing tasks by shift, and operating kitchen equipment.

Requirements

  • High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years culinary or related work experience.
  • Basic culinary knowledge is expected for this position.
  • Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
  • Flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, with the possibility of overnight shift.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pastry items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards.
  • Complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including, food processor, mixer, oven.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient station.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks by shift.
