About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Pastry Cook to join their talented team. This role is responsible for preparing all bread and pastry items of consistent quality, following recipe cards, and adhering to production, portion, and presentation standards. The Pastry Cook will complete mise en place and set up stations for service, and collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop and produce innovative products for all hotel outlets. The position involves ensuring superior production of sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, breads, and chocolates for all outlets, banquets, and amenities. The role also includes establishing standard recipes, communicating with the Pastry management team, contributing to menu development, and creating a positive work environment conducive to learning and growth. Assisting with prep work for the next shift is also a responsibility. Experience with wedding cakes, banquets, or bread work is considered a plus.

Requirements

  • A minimum 3-5 years culinary or related work experience.
  • High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Works in a careful and meticulous nature.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Valid work authorization for the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wedding cakes, banquets, or bread work is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with the Pastry management team, and contribute to menu development and recipe creation for a variety of outlets.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment conducive to learning and growth for all team members.
  • Assist in prep work as required for the next shift.
