About The Position

Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Pastry Cook to support banquet operations by preparing and presenting high-quality baked goods and desserts. This role is responsible for executing recipes, maintaining consistency, and ensuring food safety standards in a high-volume kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • 4 years of culinary or food and beverage experience with a high school diploma/GED, or 2 years of experience with a degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management
  • Knowledge of pastry techniques, baking processes, and decorating methods
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency in production
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required
  • Must wear slip-resistant, enclosed footwear

Responsibilities

  • Prepare breads, pastries, and desserts according to standardized recipes and production schedules
  • Assist with plating and presentation for banquet events
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
  • Assist with inventory control and proper use of supplies to minimize waste
  • Collaborate with culinary team members to support daily operations
