About The Position
The Optimist is seeking an enthusiastic Pastry Cook to join their dynamic culinary team. The Pastry Cook is responsible for executing the Executive Pastry Chef’s pastry, dessert, and bread recipes to ensure the highest level of quality and consistency. This role requires a basic knowledge of recipe unit conversions and garde manger skills. The ideal candidate must take direction well, communicate effectively with team members, manage their assigned station, and maintain a neat, clean, and organized back-of-house space. Quick problem-solving skills are essential to resolve any issues that may arise. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $16 to $24 per hour, based on experience and ability.
