About The Position

We’re hiring a talented Pastry Cook to join the pastry team behind The Victor, Honey Salt, and D/6 Bar & Lounge at Parq Vancouver as FIFA 2026 brings the world to our doorstep — an exciting opportunity to create memorable desserts and elevated pastry offerings at the centre of Vancouver’s biggest hospitality moment. COMPANY OVERVIEW Blau & Associates leads the Food & Beverage experience at Parq Casino, including Honey Salt, The Victor, and D/6—each offering a distinct dining experience, united by a commitment to quality, creativity, and exceptional hospitality. From Honey Salt’s warm, neighbourhood-inspired, farm-to-table approach to The Victor’s elevated steak and seafood experience, and D/6’s vibrant, social atmosphere, our menus celebrate locally sourced ingredients, seasonal flavors, and thoughtfully crafted dishes. At Parq Casino, food is more than nourishment, it’s connection, memory, and experience. As part of the pastry team, you’ll contribute to desserts across all three concepts, creating sweet moments that guests remember long after the last bite!

Requirements

  • Have similar experience in an environment including a hotel, restaurant, catering or other fast paced high-volume establishment
  • Have a valid Foodsafe Level 1 certificate.
  • Have an excellent command of both spoken and written English.
  • Have an solid understanding of different pastries and baked goods
  • Exhibit a strong knowledge of professional kitchen equipment, baking skills and practices
  • Have solid problem solving, decision making, customer service, communication and sales skills
  • Manage inventory and proper product use to eliminate waste and spillage
  • Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedly
  • Be able to frequently lift and carry up to 44 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Scaling, mixing, and baking scratch cake batters for cake and dessert production
  • Meeting production schedules and timelines for pastry needs
  • Assisting in the assembly and decoration of baked goods in accordance with the Pastry Chef’s directions
  • Following established sanitation standards, maintaining a clean work station and assisting with cleaning of the overall kitchen and service areas
  • Maintaining a composed and professional demeanor while providing exemplary service
  • Being aware of menu items, menu and operational changes and communicating the information as appropriate
  • Protecting the organization, guests and co-workers by adhering to applicable food, liquor safety and workplace standards, operational requirements and statutory compliance regulations
  • Ensuring that all property, furnishings, equipment and supplies are used according to proper instructions and intended use
  • All duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or their designated representative
