About The Position
Kneads Bakeshop, a growing community staple in Baltimore, combines H&S’s history with the new age of artisan craft to create a unique brand and experience. We aim to provide a space of comfort, creativity, and family. The Pastry Cook is responsible for providing guests with an exceptional experience by creating personalized moments and preparing delicious products.
Requirements
- Knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
- Ability to work, collaborate and problem solve in a fast-paced environment for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Min one year experience in baking and pastry is preferred.
- Personable and enjoys engaging with guests and team members.
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Organize and manage the pastry section of the kitchen to ensure a successful work environment.
- Prepare ingredients and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Create new recipes for seasonal menus.
- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients.
- Ensure safety and health regulations are met.
- Train and supervise new team members.
