Husk Restaurant, a nationally acclaimed establishment known for its modern Southern cuisine since 2017, is seeking a driven and passionate Pastry Chef for its Savannah, GA location. This role offers the opportunity to elevate your craft by working with the finest Southern ingredients. Located in the heart of downtown Savannah's Historic District, Husk celebrates the rich history and evolution of Southern cuisine with an ever-changing menu that highlights regional bounty and supports local suppliers. The restaurant features an extensive raw bar and seafood program, showcasing a variety of regional oysters.

Requirements

• Pastry experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant
• Strong knowledge of traditional pastry fundamentals including lamination, sugar work, and ice cream production
• Bread baking skills: mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of breads and crackers
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at multitasking
• Professionalism, leadership, and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead the pastry program with creativity, discipline, and a focus on excellence
• Collaborate on menu development with ownership and the culinary leadership team
• Manage daily bread, pastry, and dessert production with attention to quality and presentation
• Train and mentor staff in traditional and modern pastry techniques
• Maintain consistency in execution, cleanliness, and organization
• Partner with the savory team to ensure balance and cohesion across the entire menu
