Creates, plans and supervises the daily production of top-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods. This role involves supervising the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts and baked goods, ensuring recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled, and appropriate quantities are prepared. The position also requires monitoring and controlling the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment, supervising hourly kitchen/pastry associates, and helping to plan and implement seasonal menus. Ordering and maintaining pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels is also a key responsibility.
