About The Position

National Star Services, a 28-year-old facility management company with nationwide services, is seeking Pastry Helpers for its location in Des Plaines, IL 60018. This role involves assisting the pastry production team, chefs, and cooks in preparing and mixing pastry products. The job also includes working at various stations such as fruit cutting, economy packing, juice preparation, basket assembly, and food plating. Adherence to all food safety and hygiene regulations is mandatory, as outlined in the food safety management system handbook. Employees are required to report any issues related to the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team. Duties will be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for this role.
• Own transportation to get to and from work.
• Must provide two valid forms of ID.
• Must have experience working in a kitchen or manufacturing site.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to start working as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Assisted the pastry production team, chefs, and cooks in preparing and mixing pastry products.
• Work in different station such as (Fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food etc.)
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
• Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety tea.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
