About The Position
St. John’s Reformed Church of Loysburg is seeking a full-time Pastor to work with our consistory in faithfully caring for the people of our church and pointing them to Jesus each and every week. We are looking for an applicant who is experienced in preaching expository sermons, reformed in their understanding of the sovereignty of God, passionate about discipling old and young alike, and able to gently lead our church into a deeper understanding of God's grace through Jesus.
Requirements
- Experienced in preaching expository sermons
- Reformed in their understanding of the sovereignty of God

- Able to gently lead our church into a deeper understanding of God's grace through Jesus
Responsibilities
- Preach the weekly Sunday sermon
- Organize and facilitate the weekly worship service (which is traditional and liturgical)
- Administer communion on a quarterly basis
- Perform baptisms (infant or believer’s)
- Officiate weddings and funerals
- Visit the sick, hurting, and grieving
- Continue to work toward deepening the community that has developed at our church
- Organize Bible studies and/or community groups
- Teach and preside over young adult confirmation classes
- Engage in and encourage discipleship at the church
- Look for ways to engage our community with the gospel
