About The Position

St. Olaf Lutheran Church, a part of the Association of Free Lutheran Church, is seeking a full time Pastor. The church is located in Montgomery, IL. The congregation is looking for a candidate who will preach the word of God, lead a life in keeping with the sacred ministry, visit those in need, promote Christian instruction for youth, and adhere to the church's constitution and by-laws. The Pastor will also lead and coordinate worship services, develop community outreach, provide leadership and vision for church growth, and officiate at church-related functions.

Requirements

• Experience, skills, and willingness to perform the listed responsibilities.
• Preach the word of God in its purity as given in the Holy Scritures and in conformity of faith accepted by our church.
• Lead a life in keeping with the sacred ministry of the Gospel.
• Diligently and regularly as needed visit those in the congregation who are in physical, spritual distress or who for other reasons are in need of the ministry of Christian love.
• Earnestly promote the instruction of the youth in the Christian religion.
• Observe and act within the constitution and by-laws of the congregation.
• Lead and coordinate worship service, including working with music team, Deacons and others as needed to provide a united meaningful service.
• Develop and maintain an ongoing Community Outreach with assistance of church members.
• Leadership and Vision to grow church membership with adult and youth new members.
• Officiate at all other church related functions such as weddings, funerals and other religious ceremonies.
