About The Position
This is a congregational ministry opportunity in a rural setting, serving a Yoked congregation composed of two separate churches: First Christian Church Woodbine and Moorhead Christian Church (Iowa). Both congregations maintain their individual governing councils and mission statements but engage in open conversations and share joint worship at least once a year. They share the expenses and the ministry of the serving pastor. The role involves offering pastoral practices and compassion, including hospital and home visits, individual counseling, and conducting life events such as marriages, baptisms, and funerals. The pastor will work with the existing governance council to identify resources and programs for community of faith education, lead worship services, and prepare for worship opportunities. Participation in community activities, ministerial associations, and regional Disciples of Christ Christian Church events is also expected. The position has been previously led by both seminary-ordained and lay-commissioned leaders.

Responsibilities
- Offer pastoral practices and compassion

Benefits
- $40,000-$49,999 cash salary (including social security offset)
- Housing in the form of a Parsonage (including utilities, furnishings, insurance)
- Fair Rental Value of $700.00 per month for the parsonage
- Support through the Pension Plan (negotiable)
- Payment for mileage related to ministerial services at the current government rate or as negotiated
- Minimum of 100 miles per month expected and required for ministerial services
