About The Position

Emanuel Church is seeking a new Pastor to serve a close-knit, Bible-based community church in a small Michigan town. The church has undergone a period of intentional reflection and renewal, strengthening communication, restarting youth ministry, launching community meals, and re-engaging with neighbors. They are looking for a leader who will partner with the congregation as they grow, rather than carrying the church alone. The ideal candidate will be driven by the Holy Spirit, deliver meaningful, scripture-based teaching, and provide steady relational leadership. The church emphasizes a teaching style that guides through Scripture and helps apply God's Word to daily life, with a preaching style that is biblical, relatable, and uplifting. Worship is traditional with a modern touch, open to thoughtful new expressions. Key competencies include being personable, compassionate, energetic, sociable, community-involved, and possessing strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. The church also seeks guidance in rebuilding its Sunday school program, strengthening Bible studies, and youth involvement.
