Pasting Operator I
About The Position
The Pasting Operator I applies paste to grids to create plates that help batteries hold their charge. The role includes loading raw materials into machines, manually handling materials on and off machines, assisting with monitoring machine function, conducting visual inspections, entering data, and moving materials with a forklift. The operator is expected to work safely and wear all required personal protective equipment, including a respirator. The position is in a lead-acid battery manufacturing plant and involves working in extreme temperatures and a heavy environment, standing for long periods, and lifting 50–80 pounds. Employees must be clean-shaven and follow strict hygiene rules, including mandatory showering and taking lunch periods on site.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Ability to work in a lead-acid battery manufacturing plant.
- Two to three years of manufacturing or plant experience with a strong and consistent work history.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and a heavy environment.
- Commitment to safety excellence and ability to wear all required PPE, including a respirator.
- Must be clean-shaven.
- Must follow strict hygiene rules, including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
- Ability to lift 50–80 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Strong team skills.
Responsibilities
