About The Position

This person is responsible for the pasteurization of product during the packaging process and ensuring that finished goods are meeting quality standards! As you develop your operator skills there is plenty of room for growth to other roles within the factory. The Holland Plant has been around since 1897 and produces products such as Sweet relish, Grey Poupon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, pickle variations, and BBQ sauce. This is a Union Facility – Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU).

Requirements

  • Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification
  • Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification

Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant.
  • Following PPE requirements
  • Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Assure that we are always working to meet or exceed our quality standards.
  • Following GMP requirements
  • Inspecting raw materials and finished goods
  • Completing quality documentation, including managing critical control points
  • Completing quality testing and making the required adjustments to ensure product standards are met
  • Assisting in rework as assigned
  • Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Responsible for the operation of the pasteurizers in the facility
  • Setting up pasteurizers and cooling tunnels
  • Changing over pasteurizers and cooling tunnels
  • Shutting down pasteurizers and cooling tunnels
  • Clearing jams
  • Assisting with sanitation as required
  • Troubleshoot equipment as necessary
  • Assisting maintenance with repairs
  • Maintaining the Universal Product Code (UPC)
  • Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the operator level.

  • Perform any other duty as assigned by supervisor or lead person
