Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferred
  • At least 1 year equivalent RSPC experience in a dairy or similar plant
  • Stable and dependable work history is required
  • Agri-food industry technology and processes, food biology, food biochemistry, quality, food safety, and health and safety
  • Pasteurization operator license required or the ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the standardization and pasteurization of the milk sent to the making/production area, maintaining product quality and food safety and for monitoring various critical control points (CCP) and operational prerequisite programs (oPrP).
  • Responsible to prepare and send to the make/production area a pasteurized and standardized milk product
  • Reports any problems and/or concerns to the RSPC supervisor or manager
  • Ensures good communication with other RSPC operators
  • Applies the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed
  • Prevents potential risks
  • Applies and enforces all quality programs
  • Maintains quality product: observes and records occurrences, temperature and chemicals concentrations of CIP, and maintains good hygiene near equipment
  • Works closely with quality and food safety team to ensure the quality and specifications of product are continually met
  • Applies Good Manufacturing Practices standards and Food Safety Programs
  • Monitors CCP #2: HTST pasteurization temperature and time
  • Monitors oPrP #2 for filtration before pasteurization
  • Contributes to the maintenance of the FSSC 22000 system
  • Complies with all Lactalis Policies and Procedures
  • Upholds all rules pertaining to confidentiality of information regarding Lactalis products, recipes and employee information
  • Other duties may be assigned
