Blommer Chocolate Company is seeking motivated and reliable Paste Mixing Operators to join their mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life! This role is crucial in maintaining recipe specifications and ensuring the quality of ingredients used in production.

Requirements

Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods.
Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach.
Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold).
Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environment.
Comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout requirements for hazardous energy sources.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards.
Adhere to FDA HACCP guidelines.
Adhere to Allergen Management best practices for food manufacturers.
Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear.
Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct.

Responsibilities

Review, collect, monitor, and document required ingredients to maintain correct recipe specifications.
Combine specified ingredients into mixer and monitor closely to ensure quality standards are met.
Report any foreign objects, defective materials, and missing or damaged tools to the Supervisor.
Perform assigned raw material inventory counts and record findings in the system.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Ensure critical control point compliance documenting US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; Report any non-conformities.
Rotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be needed.
Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout the production cycle.
Pick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (Maintaining clean work areas, etc.).
