About The Position

The Passenger Service Supervisor has primary oversight of a fast-paced airport passenger service environment, providing quality passenger service across ticketing, check-in processing, baggage claim handling, and assistance to traveling passengers. The role requires adherence to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

The position also carries responsibility for taking reasonable care of the health, safety, and wellbeing of oneself and others, following provided information, training, and workplace safety rules and procedures. The company prohibits misuse of alcohol and drugs and conducts regular testing under its Substance Misuse Policy.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of wheelchair assistance, customer service, hospitality, or airport operations experience.
• At least one year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
• Computer skills for using computer-based systems in primary job duties.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking skills in English, with excellent communication skills.
• Positive, can-do, upbeat personality and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand for long periods at ticket counter and gate check-in areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and other airport passenger issues while maintaining an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers’ documents before aircraft boarding.
• Interpret identification labels and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Keep check-in, lobby, gate, and baggage work areas organized and functional.
• Make announcements, check baggage, and assign seats in the gate area.
• Take reasonable care of personal and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing at work, following provided training and workplace rules or procedures.
• Perform other duties as requested.
• Adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.
