About The Position

Responsible for overseeing the patient registration process, ensuring accurate and efficient collection of patient demographic and insurance information. This role coordinates and oversees the patient registration process, ensuring timely and accurate collection of patient information. It involves verifying insurance coverage for patients, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of insurance information, and coordinating patient admissions in collaboration with healthcare providers, nurses, and other relevant staff. The position also includes providing financial counseling to patients, explaining insurance coverage, billing processes, and payment options, as well as supporting a team of registration staff by providing guidance, training, and support. Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, including privacy laws, is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Experience in healthcare registration or patient accounts.
  • 3-5 years required
  • Knowledge of healthcare registration processes, insurance verification, and billing procedures.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in gathering and documenting patient information.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to address registration issues and resolve patient concerns.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software systems, electronic health records, and registration software.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience.
