We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Parts Wholesale Counter Person to join our professional service team in Nanuet, NY. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $100,000 per year and opportunities for career advancement. Position Overview As a Parts Wholesale Counter Person, you will be responsible for managing wholesale parts orders, assisting retail customers as needed, and supporting inventory management processes. The role involves frequent communication with customers and coordination with various dealership departments to ensure excellent service delivery.

Requirements

  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated team player
  • One to two years of automotive parts experience, either in a retail parts outlet or dealership setting
  • Proficient with computers
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Flexible availability including some evenings and Saturdays
  • Valid driver’s license with minimal points on driving record

Responsibilities

  • Pull parts from stock and determine availability for out-of-stock items, placing emergency orders when necessary.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls, providing price quotes and information to customers.
  • Process wholesale orders received online and by phone, and set up orders for shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  • Verify "will call" and "back order" files weekly; return or restock items as appropriate.
  • Solicit and develop wholesale accounts via phone contact.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to all customers and internal departments.
  • Handle returns by issuing credits and verifying invoice details with the Parts Manager's approval for exceptions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report any departmental issues to the Parts Manager promptly.
  • Stay informed on new products and updates through participation in training programs.
  • Assist with maintaining a Lost Sale Tracking program in collaboration with the Parts Manager.
  • Perform routine cleaning of computer terminals and printers.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and report any accidents immediately.
  • Ensure eligibility for company insurance coverage.
