Requirements

  • Some college course work completed, and 5-6 years of experience in a warehouse environment is required. Equivalency to the qualification standard will also be considered.
  • High level of  understanding of inventory management/controls and cycle count practices
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and performing inventory transactions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work without direct supervision for majority of shift
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills                                                     
  • Ability to multi-task efforts across different priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lead experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assign job duties of department associates for assigned shift
  • Ensure needs of downstream processes are met
  • Pull parts from warehouse to fill assembly kits and replenish point of use materials.
  • Complete system required inventory transactions
  • Ensure new kits are issued to Fabrication and Assembly in a timely manner
  • Verify counts of products coming from Fabrication and outside suppliers, perform inventory transactions, close shop orders and put materials away
  • Issue rework orders and complete scrap transactions as appropriate
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through the use of regular cycle counting
  • Maintain organization of material storage locations
  • Support the on-going reporting of key performance metrics
  • Co-Lead and participate in the annual physical inventory
  • Participate in improvement projects to continuously raise performance within the function.
