About The Position

Parts Specialists are the sales force of the retail parts department. They handle customer transactions from start to finish while working to achieve department and personal goals. The role involves supporting a seamless customer experience, meeting sales and margin goals, maintaining product and industry knowledge, managing customer relationship systems, and ensuring accurate, organized inventory and a clean customer-facing showroom. Compensation is hourly plus commission.

Requirements

• Regular attendance during scheduled store hours, including the ability to work 9 or more hours per day and weekends.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment and meet tight deadlines, including longer or later hours as needed.
• Ability to engage and interact continually with clients and employees throughout the workday using communication methods including phone and computer.
• Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.
• Occasional pushing of more than 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Model the organization’s mission and core values.
• Work effectively with employees, departments, and locations to provide customers with a seamless experience and promote teamwork and store profitability.
• Support team-member performance through ongoing evaluations, recognition, rewards, and coaching practices.
• Maintain accountability for cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
• Continually develop and apply selling skills, strategies, and techniques; complete OEM or vendor training within company timelines; and maintain product, market, and industry knowledge.
• Achieve predetermined personal and department revenue and margin goals through effective merchandising and selling.
• Manage CRM systems effectively to maximize leads and customer loyalty and retention.
• Communicate inventory information accurately to internal and external customers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling shrinkage and obsolescence, keeping inventory organized, and ensuring the customer-facing showroom meets or exceeds company cleanliness standards.
