Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 months of experience or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC program.
  • Frequent sitting, walking, and standing.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Constant lifting of 0–20 lbs; occasional up to 40 lbs; rare up to 50 lbs.
  • High level of hand and finger dexterity.
  • Constant use of hands and arms for technical work.
  • PPE includes safety glasses, nitrile and heat-resistant gloves as needed.
  • Knowledge of English language rules, spelling, and grammar for reading instructions.
  • Understanding of machines and tools used in basic assembly.
  • Familiarity with production processes and quality standards.
  • Active listening and communication to follow detailed instructions.
  • Attention to detail for consistent quality during repetitive tasks.
  • Time management to stay on pace with production flow.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and positioning small parts.
  • Able to read and comprehend work orders and technical documents.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Color vision and near-sight acuity for sorting accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain focus during repetitive inspection tasks.
  • Strong problem sensitivity and quick judgment.
  • Candidate must be able to legally work in the United States; we are unable to provide sponsorship.
  • Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders and follow production drawings or instructions.
  • Assemble and secure parts using hand tools and fixtures.
  • Perform intermediate tasks such as potting, sanding, or color coding.
  • Inspect parts using basic testing methods.
  • Handle and install finished assemblies into enclosures.
  • Uphold Positronic’s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
