About The Position
This role is responsible for managing the intake and organization of stock orders, ensuring accurate inventory, and maintaining efficient parts shelves. The position also involves handling special-order parts, customer notification, and assisting with deliveries. A professional attitude and adherence to company policies and safety regulations are essential.
Requirements
- Follows the dress code the company has put in place.
- Maintains a clean and neat work area.
- Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information.
- Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given.
- Calls supervisor if he/she cannot be at work on time.
- Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
- Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.
- The individual must maintain an acceptable driving record according to our insurance standards at all times.
- No employee or applicant should be under the influence of any substance including medical marijuana on-site or during work hours.
- Further, employees under the influence of are prohibited from undertaking any task that would constitute negligence or professional malpractice, and are prohibited from operating any type of powered vehicle or powered equipment – handheld or otherwise.
Responsibilities
- Checks in all stock orders upon receipt.
- Notifies the parts manager of any parts that are received damaged or missing from any type of order.
- Keeps all parts shelves stocked using the space available in an efficient manner.
- Receipts in all special-order parts.
- Maintains a special-order file and ensures that all customers are notified of the receipt of their parts.
- Notifies the appropriate service manager when the special-order parts that were ordered for their team have been received.
- Notifies the parts manager of special order parts that were ordered by the retail or wholesale counter.
- Maintains a backorder file.
- Assists in picking up emergency orders and making deliveries.
- If an outside company is being used for the delivery, ensure that all the shipping requirements of that company have been met.
- Maintains a professional attitude with co-workers, customers, vendors.
