About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the order, inventory accuracy, and cleanliness of the storeroom. The Parts & Service Coordinator will work directly with the Maintenance and Purchasing departments to ensure an adequate inventory of spare parts and production supplies. Key duties include entering parts into the computer system, issuing parts to maintenance work orders, receiving, labeling, and putting away incoming parts, and shipping parts for return or repair. The position also involves picking up parts from suppliers as needed and ensuring adherence to Tufco guiding principles and SOP work instructions and procedures for obtaining goods and services.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with mainframe computer systems and Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel)
  • Application of method based decision making and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must work in a safe and ethical manner at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in business or purchasing/supply chain related field
  • 1+ years of experience working with maintenance store room, suppliers, or warehouse operations
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Transact daily receipts and issuing of parts to proper cost centers/assets.
  • Work with Maintenance to ensure spare parts and services are coordinated for scheduled PM’s.
  • Work with Purchasing to ensure proper part identification is captured in ERP system to ensure automatic replenishment of stock.
  • Assist Purchasing with updating and monitoring supplier performance and compliance to quality systems.
  • Assist Purchasing with daily supplier stocking programs to ensure compliance and improvement for Tufco.
  • Monitor, track and assist to resolve vendor related quality issues, including claims, warranty exchanges and returns.
  • Develop ERP reports to track on hand inventory, stock outs, obsolete inventory, inventory additions, etc. to help manage working capital.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts storeroom and stock item entry and control.
  • Assist with identification of parts, supplies and service request and filling out of purchasing requisition form QFPR-002 following established SOP’s and authorization limits.
  • Collect and verify contents of all delivered MRO supplies daily and distribute to correct stores area or notify requisitioner.
  • Occasional pick up of parts and supplies from local suppliers to accommodate emergency situations, following established purchasing SOP’s.
