The Part Sales role maintains and controls boat, motor, trailer and ATV parts inventory and assist external and internal customers with purchases of or questions regarding parts. This role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The position involves receiving inquiries from customers regarding retail parts, price quotes, or general information via phone or at the parts counter. It requires researching customer inquiries using various resources, performing part sales transactions, and safeguarding funds received while performing till reconciliation procedures daily. The role also includes creating purchase orders for parts, receiving and verifying parts against shipping documents, and entering received parts into the IDS inventory tracking system. Additionally, it involves placing merchandise in designated locations, verifying payment for special order parts, issuing parts to technicians, and processing refund transactions. The position is also responsible for ensuring returned and warranty parts are sent back to vendors for credit, preparing for and conducting physical inventories, and reconciling any inventory shortages or variances. Maintaining a clean and professional work area is also a key responsibility.
