About The Position

The Parts Runner is responsible for providing customer service and sales assistance in accordance with company policy. Acts as the primary interface with retail and wholesale customers as well as service department employees to sell the required parts accessories. Additionally, the Parts Runner is responsible for tracking and providing needed parts to complete vehicle service repairs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent and one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and sales assistance.
  • Act as the primary interface with retail and wholesale customers, and service department employees to sell required parts and accessories.
  • Track and provide needed parts to complete vehicle service repairs.
  • Deliver requested parts to areas throughout the dealership or via delivery vehicles.
  • Operate computer to document repair parts charged to correct repair orders.
  • Perform spot inventory as required.
  • Ensure use of proper safety equipment.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting the parts department, including hazardous waste disposal, emergency response, safe driving, and OSHA Right-to-Know.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale.
