About The Position

Scrap Management Industries is seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Runner / Light Mechanical Technician to join our team. This full time role involves picking up and delivering parts, performing basic mechanical tasks, and supporting daily operations in the shop and yard.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a hands-on environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Familiarity with the tools, machines, and equipment used in the industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and materials as needed
• Perform or assist with light mechanical work (basic repairs, maintenance, equipment prep)
• Organize and track parts and inventory
• Support shop and yard operations as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
