About The Position

Scrap Management Industries is seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Runner / Light Mechanical Technician to join our team. This full-time role involves picking up and delivering parts, performing basic mechanical tasks, and supporting daily operations in the shop and yard.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a hands-on environment
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Familiarity with the tools, machines, and equipment used in the industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and materials as needed
• Perform or assist with light mechanical work (basic repairs, maintenance, equipment prep)
• Organize and track parts and inventory
• Support shop and yard operations as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
