About The Position

Ensures all maintenance and production spare parts are readily available to support operational needs. This role involves daily cycle counting, receiving and organizing incoming shipments, maintaining accurate stocking levels, and creating/maintaining cost savings and manual inventory spreadsheets. The Parts Room Coordinator will also locate and purchase new stock additions, work with vendors and maintenance staff for emergency materials, input order requisitions, and track inventory transactions. Key responsibilities include establishing reorder points for high-use spare parts, adhering to all company policies and safety regulations, and completing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. The role also requires maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy housekeeping standard in the area of responsibility. Specific stockroom duties include pulling parts for work orders, performing inventory checks, maintaining parts-related documents, performing data entry, organizing the stockroom, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, examining stock for specification conformance, maintaining stock records, inspecting and accepting/rejecting materials, compiling stock records, performing periodic inventories, counting/sorting/weighing incoming articles, storing articles, filling orders, distributing stock for PM work orders, moving/transporting materials, cutting requisitions, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of inventory control, material handling or stock room experience
  • WMS experience preferred
  • Software knowledge in SAP and Maintenance Connection.
  • Dynamic, self-starter, proactive
  • Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with internal and external associates
  • General lifting of parts (up to 40-50 lbs.) may be required as a daily job task
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment while following departmental process and procedures, relying on judgement and experience to plan and accomplish goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Conveys material from storage or work sites to designated areas
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of material moved or handled on daily production
  • Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic (willingness to work overtime as needed including Saturdays)
  • Must be fluent and able to read and write English

  • Distributes stock among PM work orders, keeps records of material issued.
  • Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
  • Cuts Req’s to fill orders
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned by supervisor
