About The Position

The Parts Room Coordinator manages and distributes parts in a durable goods manufacturing environment. The role maintains accurate inventory records, coordinates parts orders, and supports production teams by ensuring timely access to components. It serves as a liaison between maintenance and manufacturing teams to optimize parts availability and minimize downtime. Through effective inventory control and precise parts logistics, the position supports cost savings and operational efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in inventory management or parts coordination within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Three years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field.
Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate parts room operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, organization, and timely distribution of materials.
Develop and implement inventory management processes to prevent shortages and reduce excess stock.
Oversee receiving, stocking, and issuing of parts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including usage, purchases, and adjustments.
Work with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to anticipate and fulfill parts requirements.
Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor supplier performance, track orders, and work with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
Optimize storage space and labeling systems to improve accessibility and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company safety and operational standards in the parts room.
Prepare reports on inventory status, usage trends, and order fulfillment for management review.
