About The Position

The Parts Room Coordinator manages parts inventory and distribution in a durable goods manufacturing environment. The role maintains accurate inventory records, coordinates parts orders, and provides production teams timely access to needed components. Acting as a liaison between maintenance and manufacturing teams, the coordinator helps optimize parts availability, minimize downtime, control costs, and support operational efficiency. The position also ensures that parts logistics and parts-room activities meet company procedures and safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in inventory management or parts coordination in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Proficiency with inventory management software.

Nice To Haves

Three years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate parts-room activities, ensuring accurate inventory control, organization, and timely distribution of materials.
Develop and implement inventory-management processes to prevent shortages and reduce excess stock.
Oversee receiving, stocking, and issuing parts in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, including usage, purchases, and adjustments.
Work with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to anticipate and fulfill parts requirements.
Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor supplier performance, track orders, and work with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
Optimize storage space and labeling systems to improve accessibility and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company safety and operational standards in the parts room.
Prepare reports on inventory status, usage trends, and order fulfillment for management review.
