The Parts Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the reliability of the parts/supply room inventories for maintenance and operations. This role involves receiving delivered parts, replenishing parts as needed, and organizing and maintaining the parts/supply room in a clean and orderly fashion. The position also requires creating work orders for parts, performing daily inventory of tools and equipment, and communicating effectively with external suppliers and internal customers. Utilization of the Canopy System or other related inventory databases is expected. The role contributes to a cooperative working environment by performing other job-related tasks as needed or required, keeping accurate records of parts inventory and incoming orders daily, and receiving and issuing parts in the system daily. Additionally, the attendant issues tools and equipment to authorized personnel and maintains records of tool and equipment accountability.

Requirements

  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete preform job duties unsupervised and unassisted
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Constant standing
  • Occasional to frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • 1 year of parts experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the reliability of the parts/supply room inventories for maintenance and operations
  • Receive delivered parts and replenishes parts as needed
