About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving and processing parts orders from customers via various methods (in-person, phone, e-mail, fax) and for providing excellent customer service to new and existing customers.

Requirements

Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
Very proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Intellect, great work ethic and integrity.
High school diploma or GED.
Mechanical background.

Responsibilities

Follows up with potential and existing customers in a timely fashion as it relates to types of parts and quantities needed.
Processes orders and other transactions using the Sage system.
Assists accounting with entering new customers and/or customer changes into the Sage system.
Ensures accuracy of pricing and delivery information.
Responds effectively to customer inquiries pertaining to their orders and subsequent shipments.
Works closely with shipping to follow-up on customer orders.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
Advises customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
Provides order details to the finance department for invoicing.
Manages parts to be returned to the company following vendor or OEM processes to ensure company receives timely credits and that shipping is done as economically as possible.
Loads and unloads trucks.
Picking parts and packing boxes for shipment.
Other duties as assigned.
