About The Position

The Parts Puller removes automotive parts from vehicles in salvage yards, focusing on safe and efficient extraction of parts such as doors, seats, mirrors, body panels, pumps, hoods, trunks, and alternators. The role supports the supply of quality, functional parts to customers and partners. It also involves moving parts with lift equipment, inspecting and documenting them, managing scrap and core materials, and maintaining an orderly work area.

Requirements

At least 1 year of hands-on automotive mechanic experience focused on repairing and/or removing automotive parts.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of automotive parts and their functions.
Must own and maintain essential mechanical tools.
Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Locate, identify, and remove automotive parts from vehicles in salvage yards.
Use forklifts and other lift equipment to move parts safely between storage areas.
Examine parts for defects, label and tag items, and enter information into computer systems.
Organize and dispose of scrap and core materials in designated areas.
Keep the work area orderly and complete necessary paperwork.
