About The Position

Fenix Parts is hiring an Automotive Parts Puller to remove valuable parts from vehicles in its salvage yards. The role involves safely and efficiently extracting parts such as doors, seats, mirrors, body panels, pumps, hoods, trunks, and alternators, while helping ensure their quality and functionality for customers and partners. The Parts Puller also moves parts between storage areas, inspects and labels items, records data in computer systems, organizes scrap and core materials for disposal, and maintains an orderly work area with required paperwork completed.

This position works outdoors in varying weather conditions and follows a stable Monday-to-Friday day shift schedule. Fenix Parts describes the role as part of its automotive recycling and resale operations and offers opportunities for advancement in a growing company.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on automotive mechanic-focused experience, including repair and/or removal of automotive parts.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of automotive parts and their functions.
• Must own and maintain essential mechanical tools.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Locate, identify, and remove automotive parts from vehicles in salvage yards.
• Use forklifts and other lift equipment to move parts safely between storage areas.
• Examine parts for defects, label and tag items, and enter data into computer systems.
• Organize scrap and core materials and move them to designated disposal areas.
• Keep the work area orderly and complete necessary paperwork.
