About The Position

This role supports Fleet Maintenance operations by managing parts inventories, ordering parts and maintenance materials, receiving items, issuing parts and tools, and performing administrative tasks related to inventory management. The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent.
Be at least 20 years old.
Be able to work nights.
Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
Knowledge of the operation of a parts room.
Have a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before their start date in the position).
Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment.
Be able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds.
Successfully complete the following tests (before their start date in the position): Basic Office Skills, Following Written Instructions, and Matching - Alphanumeric.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Be able to read, write and solve math problems.
Be able to read and interpret schematics, and technical and parts manuals.
Be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Be capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system.
Be able to multi-task and work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Have the ability to work well with others and be a team member.
Show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.

Nice To Haves

Current Distribution associate.
Associate’s degree in Business.
3 years of prior experience in an industrial parts room environment or inventory related experience.
Knowledge of the operation of a parts room in an industrial setting.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistical data analysis.

Responsibilities

Supporting Fleet Maintenance operations in relation to maintaining effective parts inventories within the parts rooms.
Ordering parts/maintenance materials in emergencies, or as needed.
Receiving items/parts into the parts room.
Releasing/issuing items/parts and tools from the parts room.
Maintaining the items/parts inventory in parts room.
Performing administrative tasks related to parts room inventory management.
