About The Position

This role is for a Parts Painter in the Aerospace and Vehicle Defense sector. The position involves preparing surfaces, mixing paint, and applying paint using various techniques to ensure high-quality finishes. The job requires adherence to safety procedures and environmental regulations. The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve working in high temperatures. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Requirements

Prior experience in painting or a related field preferred
Knowledge of painting techniques and tools
Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or properly licensed foreign person due to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

Mix ratios for a variety of paint
Operate, use and clean a spray gun, HVLP and pressure pot
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking
Apply paint using various techniques, including spray guns, and brushes
Ensure that all painted products meet quality standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Assist with other tasks as needed
At times, work in temperatures over 90 degrees
Dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmental laws and company regulations
