About The Position

The Parts Order Fulfillment Position is responsible for pulling and packing various designs and sizes of garage door components. The candidate will also be accountable for the overall quality and storage of completed parts, the preparing of rejected material(s) for return to vendor(s), and the housekeeping of equipment and general work area(s). The successful candidate will be a reliable, self-motivated, results-oriented individual who possesses and utilizes their strong organizational, technical and mechanical skills to motivate those around him/her through exemplary leadership.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent with at least three years of progressive manufacturing experience.
  • Flexibility to work on different shifts, when required, to meet production or project goals.
  • Must be able to maintain focus of tasks at hand with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to follow an established routine and be predisposed to high level of interaction in a team environment.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently without continuous supervision.
  • Work with an understanding that they are a member of a team where success for one is measured by success for all.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Manual lifting of materials is sometimes necessary and required.
  • Physical exertion and sustained effort are a must.
  • Be able to safely lift or move at least 50lbs.
  • Be able to safely climb stairs or a ladder.
  • Able to operate material handling equipment such as, but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Second language ability especially in Spanish or German will be given additional consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct activities by adhering to established procedures and approved processes.
  • Operate relevant production equipment or tools.
  • Fulfill production orders, meet inventory requirements, and produce at the prescribed production rate(s).
  • Develop knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment and be able to apply this knowledge to the completion of work as assigned.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Become familiar with the product’s construction and application.
  • Promote a safe work environment.
  • Assist in quality training of fellow employees.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
