About The Position

This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about automotive parts management and committed to providing exceptional service to both our customers and our team. Strives to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. Accomplishes objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. Maintains adequate parts inventory while minimizing obsolescence; maintaining proper reporting and financial controls; and ensuring adherence to all practices and policies required to meet all of these objectives. About the Company Parkway is family owned and operated. We have been in the Houston area for more than 40 years. We have three locations… Parkway Chevrolet, Parkway Family Kia, and Parkway Family Mazda. We operate elite, state-of-the-art service departments. At Parkway Family Kia / Mazda in Kingwood, TX, we’re building something special… and we’re looking for the right Parts leadership to help drive it. This isn’t a fill-in role. Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive parts management within a dealership environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with parts inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast needs, and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Kingwood, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Kia / Mazda parts and automotive industry standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control, ordering, receiving, and stocking parts and accessories.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components at competitive prices.
  • Supervise and mentor the parts team, providing training and support to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the service department to anticipate parts needs and facilitate smooth workflow.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track parts availability, sales trends, and reorder levels effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Prepare regular reports on parts department performance, including sales, inventory levels, and budget adherence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
