About The Position

The Parts Manager is responsible for all aspects of parts inventory including inventory management and ordering while remaining cost conscious. This role involves managing the parts inventory to ensure the correct mix and level of parts, handling inside counter and phone sales, customer service, opening and closing work orders and purchase orders, and managing the shipping and receiving of parts inventory. The Parts Manager is also responsible for ensuring parts cost and margins are accurate and assists in the development of the annual budget for parts sales revenue and operations expenses. Additionally, this role may involve filling the role of Plant Manager/Operations Manager during extended absence.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
5-10 years of parts, warehouse or inventory experience.
General knowledge of manufacturer's parts catalogs.
Observes safety procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of MS Office and operate a Windows based computer.

Responsibilities
