About The Position

Transdev in Cocoa, Florida is hiring a Parts Manager. The Parts Manager controls the requisition of parts, supplies, and services for the entire Maintenance Department. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Transdev is proud to offer: Competitive compensation package of minimum $40,000 per year – Maximum $50,000 per year

Requirements

  • Minimum Two (2) years management experience with employee supervision
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to formulate and implement short- and long-range plans for fleet parts usage.
  • Familiar with company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Understands the financial aspects of a multi-faceted fleet maintenance parts program.
  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager and assists Supervisors, Warranty Manager, Training Manager and Maintenance Technicians, as required.
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to vehicle fumes and noise
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed in the storeroom and shop.
  • Ensure compliance with all SOP’s.
  • Track and analyze parts usage and stocking levels. Ensure all Mins and Max levels are maintained.
  • Take necessary action to remedy any deficiencies.
  • Meet with General Manager daily, on parts issues including no stock holds, fleet failures, campaigns, long lead time parts and other issues as they arise.
  • Parts manager MUST come up with options on parts with long lead times.
  • Ensure all parts tracking and PO information is up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are handled as they relate to HEXAGON and other parts software, as required.
  • Communicate with OEM on problems identified with parts and pursue warranty on parts as needed.
  • Provide support to the technicians
  • Part room MUST be organized and well maintained, and 10% cycle counts performed as well as a FULL quarterly inventory.
