About The Position

The Parts Manager, Hvy will supervise and manage the Heavy Construction Parts department. This role involves managing all aspects of customer and service staff order processing and parts handling, with responsibility for customer service, sales, and marketing. The position requires occasional forklift or pickup truck operation, inventory control, and other administrative duties. The Parts Manager must be able to perform parts counter functions and backorder analysis as needed, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or minimum of 5 years previous parts operations experience required.
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to detail.
  • Ability to train hydraulic hose assemblies as needed.
  • Computer literate, PC experience with Office Outlook and knowledge of DBSI and SiS Web preferred.
  • Previous forklift and pallet jack experience needed.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
  • Customer service experience needed.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs, climb ladders and stairs as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is needed with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Nice To Haves

  • Product knowledge and familiarity with on-highway trucks, diesel engines, electric power generation, and Caterpillar Construction Equipment preferred.
  • Computer literate, PC experience with Office Outlook and knowledge of DBSI and SiS Web preferred.
