About The Position

Finning Canada is seeking a customer-focused and solution-oriented Journeyperson Parts Counter Salesperson to join their team at the Edmonton Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Edmonton, AB. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The role involves providing exceptional parts, inventory, and customer service support to both internal and external customers, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting front counter, telephone, email, shop, and branch parts requirements. The company values safety, integrity, teamwork, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Parts Technician Certification
  • Previous experience in parts operations, warehouse environments, parts sales, front counter sales, or customer service
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with business systems and software
  • Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining respectful working relationships

Responsibilities

  • Support all parts functions, including parts sales, inventory control, sourcing, and ordering of parts
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through front counter sales and shop parts support
  • Provide parts sales and service support via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Pull and process customer and branch parts orders accurately and efficiently
  • Process parts returns, credits, and perform core inspections
  • Sort, receive, and bin incoming inventory
  • Pack, label, and prepare parts orders for shipment
  • Participate in inventory management activities and special projects as required
  • Support call quality and performance initiatives
  • Contribute to a safe work environment through active participation in Health and Safety programs
  • Support Employee Experience Survey (ESS) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) initiatives
  • Sourcing Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar parts
  • Hydraulic hose assembly
  • Procurement of non-Caterpillar parts
  • Managing backordered parts and communicating updates to customers
  • Supporting other parts and warehouse functions as required
