About The Position

Responsible for the fabrication of steel parts to produce finished products. This role involves interpreting project plans, operating various tools and machinery safely, and collaborating with the shop foreman to meet production goals. Employees are expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety and accountability.

Requirements

• Basic computer and good math skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to bend, twist, and squat repetitively throughout the workday
• Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
• See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally
• Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day's tasks in the hours provided
• Must be self-motivated as much of the day is unsupervised
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Fork operation
• Hoist operation using a magnet, clamps, crane operation
• Must be able to use a tape measure and basic hand tools
• Use of caliper, micrometer, square, and protractor for part inspection

Responsibilities

• Interpreting project plans, drawings, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task at hand.
• Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment as assigned, including but not limited to a tape measure, caliper, shear, CNC burning table, band saw, ironworker, track burner, forklift, overhead crane, and personal protective equipment.
• All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
• Work with shop foreman to ensure production goals are met.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Attend all meetings as required by management.
