Our Fabrication Shops are looking for experienced welders, fitter fabricators, material handlers and machine operators to join our expanding operations in York, PA. Fabrication Shop position roles are focused on constructing steel frameworks and fabricating metal components. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3-years' experience in their respective roles, demonstrate a commitment to safety, be reliable, punctual, and exhibit a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-years' experience in respective roles (welder, fitter fabricator, material handler, machine operator).
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety.

  • Be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays.
  • Punctuality and dependability are required.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
  • Work in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Ability to tolerate hot and cold working environment.
  • Able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours.

  • Detail-oriented individual with excellent technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Structural Steel Fitter Fabricator: Responsibilities include laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting together fabricated parts according to blueprint and layout specifications.
  • Use cutting and heating torches properly.
  • Performing complex heat corrections, checking camber and sweep tolerances of beams and steel shapes and making necessary corrections.
  • Set up complex jigs or assemblies, identify and correct potential hazards, interpret complex documents.
  • Steel Welder: Responsible for welding structural steel parts according to detailed drawings and marked-up weld symbols.
  • Fit and assemble structural framework, components, and materials such as angle iron, plates, WF sections, and other steel shapes and components.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinders, magnetic drills, and other tools of trade.
  • Machine Operator: Select correct machine settings for optimal burning, drilling, and processing operations.
  • Measure materials to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Select appropriate material type, stock size and dimensions as required.
  • Transfer data onto materials.
  • Material Handler: Perform rigging work including jacking and staking.
  • Load and unload steel from trucks.
  • Load steel to transfer tables to feed production line.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
