About The Position

The Parts Driver is responsible for delivering parts and equipment to customers and vendors, coordinating pickup and delivery needs, completing and obtaining signatures on paperwork, loading trucks, and ensuring the safe transport of goods. The role also involves maintaining the basic upkeep and cleanliness of the truck, navigating the local area, and assisting in warehouse functions. The position requires the ability to work in varying weather conditions and involves physical activity such as bending, driving, stooping, stretching, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting.

Requirements

• Able to safely drive vehicles with automatic transmission.
• Good understanding of the area and able to navigate from maps or directions.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs frequently.
• This job involves bending, driving, stooping, stretching, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting.
• Job requires ability to work in varying weather conditions (cold, heat, rain, fog, etc.).
• Job may involve working beyond normal closing time at times.

Responsibilities

• Delivering parts and equipment to customers and vendors.
• Coordinating pickup and delivery needs with the Parts Manager, parts counter staff or inventory control clerks.
• Completing paperwork at the time of delivery and ensuring recipient signatures are obtained.
• Loading trucks, accounting for all paperwork, undelivered parts and returns.
• Manually wrapping pallets with shrink wrap to ensure safe transport of goods.
• Using acceptable and safe methods to secure loads for transport.
• Maintaining the basic upkeep and cleanliness of the truck.
• Assisting in warehouse with normal warehouse functions such as picking parts, putting up stock, general housekeeping, and various other warehouse functions as determined by Supervisor or Manager.
• Dependable attendance is required.
