About The Position

The Parts Driver delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership. The role supports customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors while coordinating with dealership parts and shipping staff. It also includes keeping delivery records, handling basic truck upkeep, and helping maintain the professional appearance of the parts department. This is an entry-level position. A valid driver's license and approved safety shoes are required; background screening is a prerequisite for employment consideration.

Requirements

• Entry-level position.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Valid driver's license.
• Approved safety footwear is required on the first day and must be worn while working in designated shop and service areas.
• Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment consideration.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Coordinate with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter staff, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to identify last-minute pickups or deliveries.
• Verify that each pickup invoice matches its purchase order.
• Check payments received against invoices for each delivery.
• Keep an accurate daily log of deliveries and pickups and obtain the recipient's signature for each delivery entry.
• Unload the truck each night and turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Perform basic truck maintenance, including fueling, checking oil, keeping the truck clean, and ensuring required inspections are performed.
• Notify the parts manager when delivery trucks need major repairs or maintenance.
• Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance.
