About The Position

The Parts Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership. This role is part of Serra Traverse City, which is a part of Serra Automotive, a large privately-held retail automotive group with a history dating back to 1973. Serra Automotive operates in seven states, with 44 dealerships and 56 automotive franchises, employing over 2,200 people.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain strong trusting relationships with technicians and customers.
• Have automotive parts experience.
• Computer skills are a plus.
• Ability to maintain and organize parts inventory, keeping things neat and orderly, is a big part of this position.
• Attention to detail is a plus.
• Must possess a Valid Driver's License which meets our company insurance standards.
• Must be willing to complete a background check as this position will give you access to personal and protected employee and customer information.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, parts counter people or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
• Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean and making sure required inspections are performed.
• Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Ensures that areas of the parts department are properly stocked.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Promotes cooperation and teamwork through actions.
• Maintains positive working relations.
