About The Position

Bob Bell Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Parts Counterperson to join their team. This role involves assisting various customers, including retail, wholesale, and service department clients, with their parts needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and sourcing correct parts, managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring timely availability of parts for repairs. This position requires excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous automotive parts experience preferred
• GM / Chevrolet experience preferred
• CDK experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and accessories
• Experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment

Responsibilities

• Assist retail, wholesale, and service department customers with parts inquiries and purchases
• Promptly greet customers and technicians and provide exceptional customer service
• Identify, source, and recommend the correct parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership software
• Process parts orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels
• Receive, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments
• Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely parts availability for repairs
• Follow up on special orders and communicate status updates to customers and internal departments
• Process returns, warranties, and core returns according to manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department
• Meet dealership and manufacturer performance standards
